The Wirtschaftsförderung Region Goslar GmbH & Co KG, WiReGo, is the first point of contact for the economy in the district of Goslar. It supports companies, founders and investors in many ways during the realisation of their projects. As a majority public company, its consulting services are generally free of charge.

WiReGo also advises spin-offs from the TU Clausthal in close consultation with the university's start-up service. In addition to start-up consulting, WiReGo offers the following services for those interested in starting a business: Regular offer of a cycle of events on the topic of "Start-up"; advice on funding, permits, suitable locations or free real estate and possible partnerships with stakeholders in the region (companies, banks, commercial consultants, administration); pro-rata assumption of consulting costs by means of grants; granting of venture capital up to € 30,000 for promising start-up projects; marketing of the new start-up centre, which will open its doors in summer 2022 on the campus grounds of the TU Clausthal.
